ONCE UPON A TIME

Fairy tale #1

Once upon a time, in a faraway land, there was a girl just like any other.
Life had many gifts for her, but since the girl was afraid of life, the gifts went mostly unused. Gifts like failure, and shame, humility and restraint, just to mention a few.
So when the time was right, life decided to package these gifts in ways they could not be refused or ignored. The first gift came in the shape of a daughter, it was the gift of patience and endurance. With the second daughter came other gifts: impotence but also courage. The third time around she received the gift of music but also the terrible gift of honesty. With the last daughter came surrender and  defeat, but also exhilaration.
The gifts are there. She doesn't use them often, but she is reminded of them every day.

The End

Fairy tale #2

Once upon a time there was a puppet made of wood. With the help of an unconventional family he became a real boy.
I don't know if Geppetto and Jiminy Cricket were a real couple. They were hanging out with a fairy. Does that prove anything?
Anyway, it's good to think outside the whale for once.
The boy turned out all right. And he was loved, all along, without falter.

The End

Fairy tale #3

There once was a woman who lived in a shoe, she had so many children she didn't know what to do.
And the moral of the story is: give a woman the right shoes and she'll put up with anything.

The End
